Knock Gallery
The brief
This is a website I designed for a contemporary art gallery which specialises in showing the work of Eastern European and Scottish artists. This was the first website I ever built many years ago when I decided to teach myself to code and to use Dreamweaver. This is now Knock Gallery’s third website redesign which remains faithful to the original, successful colour scheme and layout whilst enabling the site to display optimally on mobiles and tablets.
The site design remains simple, allowing the artwork to speak for itself. The client’s social media accounts have been linked to the site blogging facility which allows Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, etc. to automatically update when a new blog is published. I also assist the client with posting to their social media accounts and responding to incoming social media enquiries.
Additionally, the site is now secured with an SSL certificate to give visitors confidence that they can browse in safety. Behind the scenes, SEO work has also been completed to improve search engine visibility for certain keywords.
