Why Squarespace is the Best Choice for Business Psychologists: A Case Study of Moving from Wix

As a website designer, I was recently asked to redesign the website for a team of organisational psychologists at Honne Partners. The original website was built on Wix, but the company wanted to improve the website design and better reflect their mission of delivering human-centred solutions for their clients. After evaluating the available options, we decided to move the website from Wix to Squarespace.
The benefits of Squarespace over Wix became immediately apparent. Squarespace has a much greater range of professionally designed website templates, and allows for much greater customisation, which allowed us to retain the company’s brand colours in the new design while also adding a more human, less corporate feel. Additionally, Squarespace's templates are designed with mobile responsiveness in mind, which is crucial for modern websites.
One of the biggest advantages of Squarespace over Wix is that the majority of Squarespace's core website features are built-in, which means that it doesn't rely on external apps to provide basic functionality. This includes a great blogging and e-commerce facility, the former of which was important for Honne Partners to showcase their thought leadership. Squarespace also includes a good range of SEO tools that are simple to navigate for SEO novices, which helps to improve search engine optimisation and attract more organic traffic to the website.
In terms of website management, Squarespace's user interface is much more intuitive and user-friendly than Wix's, which allows business owners to easily make updates and changes to their website without needing to know how to code. Squarespace also has a more reliable hosting platform, which means that website downtime is minimised and website speed is maximised.
In summary, migrating the website from Wix to Squarespace was the right choice for Honne Partners. By leveraging Squarespace's greater customisation options, built-in features, and user-friendly interface, we were able to create a more professional and engaging website design that better reflected the company's mission and helped to improve their online presence.
